Both the  Norfork River and the White River near Cotter, are known for their outstanding trout fishing. The White River, located directly below us, while being  the largest is also a great fishery for both rainbow trout as well as brown trout.  Our Cotter Arkansas Fishing lodge, was built by a fisherman for fishermen and all of our professional White River fishing guides cater to all levels of expertise from beginning spin fishermen to advanced fly fishermen. Since both of these rivers are tailwater river fisheries, the water levels can rise and fall quite unexpectedly.  For this reason an experienced  River guide is highly recommended for all first time fishermen.

Our Cotter Arkansas flyfishing resorts policy is to provide all tackle and gear for our fully guided trips including fly rods and flies. All of the tackle provided by the lodge is highest quality gear and is available to all of our registered guests.

Our fly rods include  TFO, Scott, and Loomis with  Galvan and Lamson fly reels, all loaded with quality and appropriately sized fly lines and tippets.

For those fishermen preferring to spin fish, we issue spinning gear of the same high quality including Shimano Stradic reels loaded with quality
4 pound or 6 pound line depending upon the angler's preference.  The rod we use are Loomis or Falcon in either light or ultra light versions.

Our Cotter Arkansas flyfishing resorts are rated as some of the best in the country. The same goes for our guides.  All of our guided trips include a hearty lunch, drinks (nonalcoholic) and all fishing gear and tackle. Although everything you need will be provided, each of our angling guests are encouraged to bring their own gear if preferred.
