While both the Norfork and the White Rivers are known for their excellent trout fishing, the White River, being the closest  and also the largest is a truly outstanding fishery for both rainbow  as well as German Brown trout.  Since our Cotter Arkansas resorts designer and builder was  a fisherman our resort is ideally suited for fishermen.  And all of our professional fishing guides cater to every level of expertise from novice spin fishermen to advanced fly-fishermen. Since both of these rivers are tailwater fisheries,  the water levels can rise and fall very rapidly.  For this reason, an experienced  River fishing guide is highly recommended for all first time fishermen.

Our Cotter Arkansas resorts policy is to provides all tackle and gear for our fully guided trips including fly rods and flies. All of the tackle provided by the lodge is top of the line gear and is available to all registered guests.

Our fly rods include Loomis, TFO and Scott
Our fly reels include Loomis, Galvan and Lamson topped with the appropriate fly lines and leaders.

Spinning gear used will be of the same high quality.

We use Shimano Stradics topped with
4 lb. or 6 lb. p-line.  And we supply our clients with Loomis or Falcon  light or ultra light spinning rods.

Our Cotter Arkansas resorts flyfishing guides are rated as some of the best in the country and our trips include lunch, nonalcoholic drinks,  fishing gear and tackle. Everything  is provided, however guests are encouraged to bring their own gear if preferred.
