Although both the North Fork River as well as the White River are known for their excellent trout fishing the White River being the closest and also the largest is a unique and exceptional fishery for both rainbow trout brown trout.  Our Cotter Arkansas trout fishing resort, was built by a fisherman with an eye toward the unique needs of fishermen.  And all of our professional fishing guides cater to every experience level from beginning spin fishermen to advanced fly fishermen. As both of the rivers are tail-water fisheries and the water levels can rise and fall quite unexpectedly, an experienced fishing guide is highly recommended for all first time fishermen.

Our Cotter Arkansas trout fishing resorts policy is to provide all tackle and gear for each of our fully guided trips including quality fly rods, reels, and flies. All tackle provided by the resort is top of the line gear and is available to all of our registered guests.

Loomis, Scott, or TFO fly rods include either  Galvan, Loomis,  or Lamson fly reels, all supplied  with the appropriate fly line and tippets.

Perhaps you prefer spin fishing?  Then our spinning gear used will be of the same high quality.

Reels are Shimano Stradics supplied with
4 or 6 lb line and rods by Loomis,  or Falcon, both in light or ultra light varieties.
