The White River Inn Luxury Bed & Breakfast Lodge is a culmination of a lifetime of dreams and years of planning. Working with architect Dick Reese from Flagstaff, Arizona, the Watson’s dream started to take shape on a bluff overlooking the Arkansas White River.

Magnificent Great Room
The Great Room trusses are all stick framed 8x12 and 12x12 Douglas Fir beams and each weighing about 1600 pounds. Clawson windows from Missoula, Montana were put into place affording the vast views of the Ozarks and White River. The floors are mixed size hardwood Hickory planks ranging in size from 4 to 6 inch widths. Imported Italian tile are featured in the hallways, bathrooms and entry area.

Uncommon Luxury
Fixed glass showers, Jacuzzi tubs, Kohler porcelain and oil rubbed bronze fixtures give the bathrooms that extra touch of luxury. Custom Hickory cabinets, more Italian tile, granite from Brazil, stainless appliances and Ralph Lauren suede paint in muted browns and earth tones give the lodge a luxurious, comfortable ambience.

The final touches of making this lodge a home away from home are the leather furnishings, custom made mission style furniture, luxury linens and pillows, wireless (wi-fi) internet, satellite TV, and individual climate control systems.

Craftsmanship in Construction

 of

The Lodge is built with coastal Western Red Cedar from the state of Washington. Red Cedar was chosen for its straight grain, insulation value, workability and size. The logs were cut square on all sides into 8x12 pieces in Washington. They were sent to a profiler in Nashville, Tennessee where the logs were cut to exact measurements and a chinking groove was profiled into the log. The logs were shipped to the job site where they were individually cut to length, mortise and tenon jointed by skilled local craftsmen. The lodge is 180 feet long and around 7,000 blocks were laid and then filled with concrete to form the foundation. The sub floor was laid in and the logs went up one by one.
